A balanced diet is key to a healthy immune system. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains, which are all high in antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals, which can weaken the immune system. Avoid processed foods and sugary snacks, which can have an adverse effect on your health.
